Mega Millions Colorado Lottery
Mega Millions began in August 1996 as the Big Game with six continental states participating. We joined the crowd on May 16, 2010 and now a total of 43 states and jurisdictions are involved. With jackpots starting at $12 million and prizes ranging from $2 to $250, 000, this is the Mega-Game that fuels Mega-Dreams.
The largest recorded Mega Millions jackpot was $390 million with two winning tickets sold in Georgia and New Jersey. Since we joined the Mega Millions group, the two largest jackpots were on January 4th, 2011 at a whopping $380 million and $319 million on March 25th, 2011. We've had five large winners to date: two $1, 000, 000 winners, and three $250, 000 winners! So far, total prizes paid out in Colorado are over $8, 400, 000.
Our state is a mega-winner, too! As of August 23, 2011, sales of Mega Millions have contributed $7.3 million to fund projects throughout beautiful Colorado. Check out some of the projects completed in your neighborhood!
